01

新生·持信念

Being a newborn and keeping the faith


有人说“我”是苏州教育生态健康的“把脉者”;

也有人说“我”是苏州教育健康体检的“超大型CT”;

还有人把“我”比作雕琢教育大数据的“科研工匠”。

Some people say that I check the pulse of Suzhou Education Ecology.

Some people see me as a CT scan machine for education in Suzhou.

Others compare me to a carpenter who crafts educational big data. 

我觉得苏州市教育质量监测中心就像诺亚方舟

就像体检仪

就像一位绣娘

更像是一个教育大数据的智库

像探路者

能工巧匠

气象站

罗盘

灯塔

富矿

I think Suzhou Education Quality Monitoring Center is like Noah's Ark.

Like a medical calibrator.

Like an embroidery lady.

More like a think tank supported by educational big data.

Like an explorer.

A skilled craftsman.

A weather station.

A compass.

A lighthouse.

A bonanza.

其实,“我”是教育测评新领域的新生儿,

“我”的血脉刻画着坚定的信念——

监测 要让教育更美好!

“我”是全国教育评价改革奔涌大潮中绽放的一朵浪花,

2014年,苏州教育人站在教育现代化的战略高度,

以超前谋划的前瞻眼光,

在全国地级市中率先成立了独立建制、

全员配置的苏州市教育质量监测中心。

9月10日,第30个教师节那天,

“我”挂牌诞生。  

I’m a newcomer to the novel field of educational assessment.

My blood vessels are engraved with firm beliefs that

education is made better with close monitoring.

I am a spoondrift in the surging tide of the national education evaluation reform.

In 2014, from the strategic perspective of educational modernization

with a forward-looking vision,

Suzhou educators took the lead in establishing an independent system, the first of its kind among prefecture-level cities,

and it is a fully staffed organization named Suzhou Education Quality Monitoring Center.

It was on September 10, the 30th Teacher's Day

that Suzhou Education Quality Monitoring Center was born.

破浪·涌前行

Breaking the waves and rushing forward


起步成长的三年里,

“我”快速组建和培养专业团队。

在教育部基础教育质量监测协同创新中心的帮助下,

“我”努力学习教育质量监测全过程的核心技术,快速成长。

In the first three years of growth,

I formed and developed the professional teams quickly.

With the help of China Basic Education Quality Monitoring Collaborative Innovation Center,

I went all out to learn the core technologies employed in the whole process of education quality monitoring and enjoyed rapid growth.

每一个监测数据,都会经过严苛工序的淬炼;

每一次精准诊断,都是切磋琢磨的修炼;

每一项增值评价,都是发现价值的挑战;

每一次研讨分析,都在努力挖掘教育真相;

每一份监测报告,都展现出万千教育景象。

Each piece of monitoring data was analyzed and processed precisely.

Every accurate diagnosis was a practice where learning and improvement took place.

Every value-added evaluation was a challenge to discover the value.

Every discussion and analysis was a chance to fathom the truth in education.

Every monitoring report revealed the myriad facets of the educational reality.


03

扬帆·正远航

Setting sail on a long voyage


三年的积累,

让“我”有了独立自驾、扬帆远航的动力与底气,

“我”也在实践摸索中让自己快速迭代升级。

“我”每年对全市初中学生开展“立体化、全覆盖、追踪式”的学业质量监测,

获取学生语文、数学、英语和科学四门学科的学业表现。

After three years of accumulation,

I have gained the power and confidence to drive independently and sail far.

I have also achieved rapid upgrades in the trailblazing work.

Every year, I carry out the "three-dimensional, full coverage and tracking" a citywide academic quality monitoring for junior middle school students,

gauging students' academic performance in Chinese, Mathematics, English and Science.

“我”构建了具有多维结构的监测指标,

优化了监测组织实施的各个流程,

追踪采集了海量的监测数据,

创建了数据化的苏州教育生态空间。

“我”自建一系列智能技术支持的监测数据加工平台,

逐步实现了标准化数据治理、智能化数据分析、可视化数据呈现等技术突破。

“我”探索影响教育生态的关键要素和作用机制,

以监测大数据全面测量、描绘和把脉苏州教育生态的健康状况。

I formulated monitoring indicators that have a multi-dimensional structure,

optimized the various processes in the monitoring organization and implementation,

tracked and collected massive monitoring data,

and created a data-backed education ecology in Suzhou.

I built a series of platforms to process the monitoring data, supported by intelligent technologies,

and gradually achieved technological breakthroughs in standardized data management, intelligent data analysis, and visual data presentation.

I explored the key elements and mechanisms affecting the education ecology.

I comprehensively measured, described, and diagnosed the health of the education ecology in Suzhou with big data.

“我”是“航道灯”,

用先进的教育测评理论和技术,

为从应试的教育走向适合的教育照亮航道;

“我”是“刻度尺”,

研发教育质量监测的指标工具和数据分析平台,

把对单一分数的考量引向多元化指标的分析;

“我”是“红绿灯”,

给规范办学行为划好警戒线;

“我”还是教育生态健康的“体检仪”和“气象站”,

从简单到多维,从共性到个性,

精准把脉并及时预警教育时代病;

I am a fairway light,

which uses advanced educational evaluation theories and technologies

to illuminate the way from an examination-oriented education to a more suitable educational model.

I am a scale,

which develops indicators, tools, and data analysis platforms for education monitoring

to shift our education focus from a single test score to multiple indicators.

I am a traffic light,

which draws a cordon to regulate the administrative practices in school running.

I am also a physical examination instrument and a weather station established to protect the health of the education ecology.

From issues of a single dimension to those that cross multiple dimensions, from topics involving commonality to those that concern individuality,

I accurately identify and issue timely warnings about problems in education.

“我”不断优化完善多维化的指标体系,

专业化的测评工具,

标准化的实施流程,

智能化的测评系统,

数据化的教育生态,

结构化的质量评价,

精准化的问题诊断,

立体化的结果运用,

努力成为苏州教育高质量发展的“助推器”。

I constantly improve the system of multidimensional indicators,

specialized evaluation tools,

standardized implementation processes,

intelligent evaluation system,

data-based education ecology,

structured quality evaluation,

accurate problem diagnosis,

and stereoscopic application of diagnostic results.

I strive to become the booster for the high-quality education development in Suzhou.

八年来,“我”累计研制并发放10000余份监测报告,

为苏州教育生态优化提供了重要的决策依据和改进支持。

Over the past eight years,I developed and distributed more than 10,000 monitoring reports 

that provided important bases for decision-making and support for improving the optimization of the education ecology in Suzhou.

“我”努力打通监测工作“最后一公里”,

监测结果运用优秀案例评选活动已经融入到老师们的行动中,

成为推动区域和学校开展自我诊断和自我改进的有力举措。

I went all out to bridge the last mile in monitoring work.

Teachers study and integrate the successful experience from those sample cases where our monitoring results were applied in teaching into their practices.  

Such integrations have become a powerful initiative that promotes self-diagnosis and self-improvement in the districts and schools.




04

乘风·冲云霄

Braving winds and making headway

八年风雨兼程,

“我”站上了教育质量监测的“风口”,

从蹒跚学步到展翅翱翔。

八年砥砺深耕,

“我”已牢牢扎根于中国教育评价的新天地,

深深嵌入到苏州教育的评价体系之中。

八年披荆斩棘,

“我”在教育测评领域的“无人区”探索前行,

努力打造高品质区域教育质量监测的样板。

In the eight years of trials and hardship,

I seized the opportunity to further education quality monitoring

with steps moving forward from staggering in the past to marching today.

In those eight years of forging ahead,

I firmly rooted my endeavors in the new field of Chinese education evaluation

and deeply embedded my work in the evaluation system of education in Suzhou.

In those eight years of surviving and thriving,

I explored the frontier of education assessment,

and made efforts to build a role model for a quality monitoring system in a first-class regional education. 

我们把八年探索实践的结晶浓缩在这个影像中

这既是成长分享

也是自我鞭策

更是携手同行的呼唤

苏州监测的每一点进步

既属于每个贡献力量的个体

也属于团结一心的团队

更属于苏州教育和中国教育

We try to capture and highlight the exploration and practice in the eight years in this video.

It not only is to share the experience of growth

but also serves as a kind of self-motivation,

a call to march forward, your hand in mine.

Every bit of progress in the education monitoring in Suzhou

belongs to every individual who has contributed to the cause

and also to a team that has stuck together.

Moreover, it also belongs to the education in Suzhou and the education in China.



展望未来,“我”将在教育评价改革的洪流里起舞弄潮,

立志成为教育数字化奔腾年代里的监测方舟!

Looking ahead, I will continue to play the role of a pioneer and ride the tide of educational evaluation reform,

and aspire to become an ark for educational monitoring in the digital age of education!
